Hello,
I have a question. We currently have a rider contract that states. The company “strives to pay in 30 days” but when we began to work with them they verbally had stated 30-45 days to get paid for work completed. They have now gone over the 30 and are well into 60 days. How can we get paid? They are paying very slowing and late. I’m sure they don’t have an infinite time to pay. ...Read More

We hired a General Contractor/Builder to design a home. They've failed to meet any timelines they set and are unwilling to provide evidence of the the services delivered (such as the survey or engineering). We cancelled our engagement in writing . There was a deposit for survey, engineering, design review fees, and home design. The only work for which we have an indication of completion is the design review..
How long do we have to wait after terminating the engagement to demand a refund for services that were not delivered?...Read More

I recently completed a project for a man that had a few parts to it,changing doors for new doors installing new wood on a ceiling and replacing old deck boards with new trex decking. Everything was done in a timely manner and there were no complaints from the home owner. We did not have a contract about the work performed but as I understood we had a gentlemen's agreement. Once work was complete I gave the homeowner an invoice which totalled$2440.00 which was a pretty generous amount due for my services. It has beensince work has been completed with no payment to me for my services. I've reached out and have been ignored with no payment or reason for non payment. What can I do so that I'm paid for my work that was performed without issue? Please help me to understand what to do. I'm a small business and every cent counts. Thinon payment really hurt m...Read More
