OhioMy question is, my company is stating that $1.50 will be withheld from each employee and given to a apprentice working on the site. We were told if there were 3 or more technicians on a prevailing wage job, that at apprentice is required, and $ is withheld for that apprentice.
This job site is a new courthouse in Las Vegas and confirmed its prevailing wage.
Is this accurate info we have been given???

TexasI work for a non-union fencing company in Hawaii, and when we work county jobs we make prevailing wages. But lately we have been subcontracted on federally and state funded projects and we are not making prevailing wages, but the other construction workers said that they are making Davis bacon wages. Is there a loophole the companies are using so that we are exempted from the Davis Bacon act? Something doesn't sit right with this. Thanks for feedback.

FloridaAs a construction company, how do I set up the accounting for prevailing wages? For example, i have employee as electrician. The rate is $40.12 and fringes are $25.29. What do I actually pay him per hour? Do I need to set up a separate account for these payroll items?
PennsylvaniaI build compliant access products like wheel chair ramps and steps on modular buildings for companies like modspace ,Pac van, Mobil modular ,ECT. Many are at schools and on military bases and hospitals. I am employed out of ohio but travel to build them in eastern half of the country. I have never been paid prevailing wage and not sure if im supposed to be.
OhioWe are working on a Davis Bacon prevailing wage project. My general understanding is that the apprentice wages are 50% of the journeyman wage. However, in this case, the apprentice program is with the local steelworkers union who has a Collective Bargaining Agreement in-place. In this case, should the apprentice be paid 50% of the DBA wage determination or 50% of the CBA wage?
