Hello I am an HVAC Sub Contractor in GA.
I am involved in a mess. I took on a project that Consisted of the installation of Ductwork for three HVAC systems in a Commercial application. The entire job was finished and Passed the Rough-in inspection, all but a minute few punch items. My GC had no problem paying me through the job until it was time to pay the final invoice.
I had no time stipulation and didnt need one because I finished the job in a very reasonable time frame. Then after inspection he wants to say that I didnt do job well
Although the. Project Foreman and Project management say that I performed my job with great ability.
Please can you help.
I have documented every stage of project in 5 weeks.

GeorgiaI am a homeowner. I have been paying my general contractor promptly for all work. It turns out my GC was not paying the subcontractors. The subcontractors have filed liens and are now threatening foreclosure. What recourse do I have? I cannot afford to double pay everything and now I am worried I will lose my house.
WashingtonI have a company that is saying that the quality of work done isn’t to there standards. I’m not the only subcontractor there using this reason for not paying with. Can they avoid the mechanics lien by using this tactic?
ColoradoAre electricians required to provide an estimate and get approval from the owner prior to beginning a residential project? No estimate was provided. Work is completed. The invoice he gave me has only a total due. There are no dates of service, description of work performed, hourly rate, or hourly total. I requested a detailed invoice. I have now received another invoice with a different invoice number for more than the original invoice he sent.
CaliforniaI have a customer that is trying to make a payment, but would like to distribute it between different jobs I have liened. However I feel like if I do that I won't be able to enforce the liens if they don't pay. I feel like it would be best to just to pay it in full. can you give me any advise on that?
TexasToday and they told me that the claim had been paid in full so that means that regions name did not get put on the check that was only on about 4000
So there fore the customer has gotten the check for 4000and regions is waiting on us to settle the claim but they will not release the other part of the money till it comes to a settle ment so I do not know we’re that leaves me what I’m saying is regions has 8600 and the customer has 4000 and we’re does that leave me please let me know please

KentuckyOver a year ago we had fiberoptics installed. Then a month later had phones routed through the same company. Initially, the systems were not operating correctly. We called them, they came out 3 times before finally resolving the issue of the internet working correctly. Now, I just received a bill.
We paid all the installation charges, and each of the monthly bills. Can they legally send me a bill a year later for correcting a problem they created with improper installation?
ColoradoA contractor was paid 50% but then abandoned the job for 2 years. The work was finally completed but not using the materials contracted. Can the contractor reasonably demand full final payment?
MinnesotaContractor did a patio job for me. As job progressed I e-mailed him reminding him to make sure the steps complied with building codes. I did not want a problem later selling the home or a lawsuit if someone tripped etc. They finished the work and I hired a certified inspector to inspect my steps. The steps do not meet the building code. I sent a copy of the report to the contractor and asked he re-do the steps to meet code. he declined and said he would cut the amount owed by $800.00 I agreed and paid him a check stating in the memo Patio Paid in Full. Now a few weeks later the contractor wants the rest of the money ($800.00). Threatened with lawyer.

North DakotaA local business hired a main contractor to do a remodel who then subbed it out to another guy who then had my boyfriend finish the job as his "employee", as my bf doesn't have his own licence yet. I know for a fact that the main contractor was paid in full for the job and supposedly still hasn't paid the subcontractor that hired my boyfriend so therefore my boyfriend hasn't been paid and the verbal agreement was for about seven Grand. We're not sure how or who needs to go about doing what to get paid
Montanathe owner of the property did not comply with statutory retainage requirements and the general contractor failed to pay his sub. the sub filed a lien against the property. the general contractor is paid in full.
1. is the only remedy for the owner to pay the sub directly and attempt to collect from the general contractor?
2. if the owner does pay the sub, then what can the owner collect from the defaulting general contractor?

TexasI am an licensed electrician who does side work I ran an ad in Craigslist and was hired by a subcontractor to wire an existing old home. I completed the work on Oct 16 2019 he said he will pay me when he has the property inspected. He has told me on many occasions that the inspection was scheduled but really wasn’t. And now he doesn’t return phone calls or texts. And when he does answer it says it’s scheduled but it is not. I call the Building inspection department and they tell me there isn’t anything scheduled
FloridaHired a construction manager and they filed a lien based on a dispute of labor that had no change order. Does a construction manager have the right to file a mechanic's lien?
