CaliforniaHello. A builder built a home next door and changed the grade in Saint Louis County, Missouri. There was several damages done to our property due to this change. We are in a lawsuit, and cannot find where to go to get help. The swale was removed and changed the direction of the water that affected our property and the natural water flow. Who would you suggest we get help from? Army Corp of Engineers, Sewer District, as we got zero help from our county. They provided and approved all permits to the owner with an evident change of grade. Any suggestions you could provide would be appreciated. Thank you.
MissouriI am currently finihsing up a job where the SOV is 50+ line items. Many of them are alternates listed on the G703. We only completed a % of each of the alternates. How to I bill for that properly on the G703? Is it ok to have a balance to finish on the final REQ if we did not complete the line item 100%? If not, what is the correct way to do so?

Arizonawe are a sub on a federal highway project and have not been paid for last payment or retainage. I sent out the 10 day notice of intent to file claim on payment bond. When is the last day to record the claim with the county recorder and do i need to send any more notification to the GC
ColoradoSo iModStructures.com went bankrupt on me while owing $89,xxx from work I had purchase order's from them to perform. Back in May 2021 they sent out a letter stating they did not have sufficient funds to remain operating, so I filed a claim on the bond for the project (CSUMA). In August 2021 after months of delaying things, the bond company sent a denial letter to EVERYONE who filed a claim on the bond. I know in CA the bond statutes are a lot more strict, I am suing them currently and feel like the bond company should be liable for all added incurred cost's. Anyone know more about this?
CaliforniaNeed to know if Pay Applications need to be notarized in South Carolina. Looks like waivers don't need to be. I have small subs that do not have a notary and want to submit a pay app w/o notarization. Thank you!
South CarolinaI'm a subcontractor that had to file a stop notice on BBII. The public entity already confirmed for me they are withholding the funds from BBII, but also tell me it's up to them to pay me not the public entity. It's been almost 2 months now since they received my stop notice and I still have not been paid.

New MexicoLets say I was hired to do about 20 small jobs in another state .My pay was based on a per job basis .When i start the project it turns out the none of these jobs were surveyed properly so i end up having to drive to these jobs and more only to find out that the entire week was a waste.
As a contractor am i able to charge for showing up to every site and for the time traveling from site to site ?
Ohioso we (our company/not people) are buying out a company and we are creating another company but the same people who are selling us the company are 50% owners in the new company. They are under the impression that we (my brother and I) owe them 5 million and not the company. While we see that as an investment that should be paid through out the success of the new company and written into the operating agreement. Can you please help me find an alternative to this last snag in the deal.
