I AM AN OWNER AND A PUBLIC ADJUSTER IS TRYING TO THREATEN ME I AM TRYING TO GO TO DA ATTORNEY AND REPLY TO INTENT TO LIEN MY REBUILD AFTER FIRE WE DONT HAVE A SETTLEMENT AND HE HAS NOT BEEN TRUTHFUL ABOUT THIS.

Can we file a lien?

A builder requested an excess amount of money but failed to provide material and service and services. After being terminated he filed a lien on our property.

CaliforniaI provided design services to a client (FF& E), but she is refusing to pay the remaining balance. How do I go about collecting my $900 owed to me? She reached out to me through a neighbor, and confirmed that she wanted new furniture for her new build home. I told her it would $1,800.00, but that $900 would be due upfront and the remaining due at completion of researching materials. She did pay the original $900, but due to her own personal choices, she decided to halt all future work, therefor owing me $900. I sent her an invoice for unpaid services, and she replied back stating that she does not owe me.

Our supplier York international who provided roof top units has filed a lien for non payment
We are being told by the owner and GC that they must submit a release in order to get final payment. However, I have not been paid in full as they are submitting back charges that we were never made aware of until yesterday and the project t is complete. They owe Over $60,000 in retainage and CO but want to reduce our contract about $17,000. Do we legally have to pay YORK to release the lien even if we are not fully paid?
I have signed a partial lien waiver for portions of this contract.
VirginiaI'm a private CNA caregiver and my existing client is currently in rehab since February, he is going into "long term care, which means his home will need to put up for sale, in the meantime I haven't been paid for over 3 years, and the clients family is aware of this, (I average about 8 hours weekly) in the past the family has said in conversation when my client passes away, they would make sure I got reimbursed for having taken care of (roger)
and now it's our understanding that with him on Medicaid any money from the sale of the house automatically goes to the State of Idaho, so it was recommended that I file a Lien against the property so that in the end I can get paid...am I able to file a Mechanic lein by myself or do I need an actual attorney and how long can I anticipate this process take? especially if the house is put on the market next month?

Idahohow do i protest a mechanics lien that was filed fraudulently in Georgia? The contractor performed awful work in our home. He also billed us for things that he did not do, and left our home in a general mess. He filed a lien against the property even though we have extensive supporting documentation that supports our protest
GeorgiaOur renovating contractor is threatening to put a lien on our house because we do not want to pay the extra money he is asking for that he never discussed with us our asked for our approval and it was not on the contract. What should we do? Of note, we paid him everything on contract on time but he hasn’t finished his project. There are still cabinet doors missing.! He took them out to fix and said he won’t come back to put them back in if we don’t pay and of course threatening the lien.

GeorgiaMy company is from out of state, and has been working on a half million dollar renovation project in GA for the past year. During COVID, we were forced to slow production, due to government restrictions. Once they were lifted, work resumed as usual. During our tenure there, the owner has added many change orders, which have been completed. They were billed for those change orders on June 13, 2020. We met with the owner and their bank, regarding the additional charges, funds were approved. Now they're refusing to pay and have hired a new company, that's already on site and working.
