2010 we purchased air ducts as a company. we made payments on it and at the end we stopped because company that put the lien purchased from us tarps they also made a payment only and stopped so we though we where fine with each other.
now that we are trying to refi. we have this lien and our lender spoke to them and they said that they would only remove if we paid them cash and not checks of money orders nor cashiers until then they would not remove.
can a company file a mechanic lien to a company owners property although supplies where sold to the company only........ and no jobs or work where performed or made to the property that has a lien.
can they file on the companies owner
when they had sold supplies only to the company and not a personal tranaction?
Please advise...I need to refi can it be removed?

Washington DCOur demolition group shows up to a project and demolishes an existing structure and our fee is $500,000. We are paid $450,000 but there is $50,000 of retention left to be paid at the end of the project. Lets say our last day on the job is in March of 2021 but the job lasts another 10 months and ends in January of 2022. We signed an agreement that says we will not get paid retention until the end of the job.
What is our timeline to file that lien, is it 90 days from the last day we are on the job? Does that timeline extend to the end of the job in January of 2022?

CaliforniaI did some work for an individual and he refused to pay so I took precautions and sent a letter of intent and he got his letter today and is threatening to only send 50$ a month until paid off.
KansasI am a property owner who recorded a release bond on the general contractor's lien, which included amounts owed to subcontractors. I now have those subcontractors separately filing their own liens even though those amounts were already included in the general contractor's lien. Does my release bond cover the subcontractor's liens in this context?

What is the difference in the project owner appointing a lien agent and the general contractor being required to file a Notice of Contract. I thought the process of appointing a lien agent was to require any potential lien claimants to notify the lien agent of their existence on the project.
