I was scammed on a land contract by a company that does not own the property..I have invested over 7;000 dollars into repairs and materials.then I was approched by a woman claiming to own the abandoned property. from there she's put a rush on me to give her money or loose my investment.with no offer of refunding my money..so my question is can I put a lien on this property?

I'm a subcontractor in East Tennessee and I worked for a non-licensed general contracting company. I have a signed contract, I'm to be paid on Thursday after the job is complete. However, it's been nearly 30 days since payment was due. Despite repeated phone calls and emails the general contractor is playing games and refusing to pay me. I went down to the local courthouse and they said all I need to do is print off a mechanics lien form, fill it out, a sworn affidavit and notarized it. However, the only forms I found online are against the homeowner. The homeowner of this job is 80 years old and I don't think it's fair to put pressure on them they didn't do anything wrong. On top of everything, I have a broken hand. Despite this, I'm still trying to work and make a living and not sit at home on unemployment. We have made multiple attempts trying to call the owner and several different other people that pertain to this project, but as of yet no response. I gave a cash/loan to my son-in-law ((and daughter) back in 2017 to purchase a new townhouse in Winter Garden. They paid back approximately half the loan in 2018, the other half is still not refunded. They may be getting divorced (2021) and i am still waiting to get my money back. I need to record a lien on the townhouse to protect my money in case they sell it anytime soon.
I called Orange County Comptroller county office & they said i can record the lean as soon as i fill in the Claim , notarize it then submit it with the fees required per page ($10 for the 1st page, $8 per extra page(s).
I did all that but wanted to consult an expert before submitting my Claim of Lien.

Im the co owner of a general contractor construction company, our firm completed an interior home improvement job in city of diamond bar, CA to a couple clients on or about 12/14/2020 to 1/29/2021 . The owners failure to pay $ 20k included materiel with the proof of receipts to us.
