I filed a lien on a homeowner and they are withholding funds and I would like to know if it is possible to file a motion of discovery before our lien court date
TexasI have a question regarding the Prime's delay in submitting a subcontractor's invoices to a vendor for payment. My business provided work for a Prime contractor. They are now rejecting invoices that are over 1 year old, even though we submitted these invoices in a timely fashion. Is there any requirement for a Prime to submit all invoices for service provided within a certain time frame? Or can a Prime hold onto a subcontractor's invoices, without submitting them to the state, for an indefinite period of time? TIA
IllinoisClients misrepresented themselves as property owner and I furnished house plans for them. When I presented my contract for them to sign and pay they had an issue with the terms. They wanted full rights to the plans but I said I couldn’t because of liability issues. This seems to be the hiccup and they are dead set on having full exclusive rights. Am I out of luck if I filed a lien?

Louisiana2 occurance with GC not paying us on time. Payment was due April 14th. Email Owner and GC to let them know that we are moving forward with lien if no response by May 19, 2002. Owner has terminated GC and is doing an audit of accounts. Owner responded saying the following: "I’d ask that you not please lien us just yet, we need time to work through the issues, but if you do lien us, we’re going to bond around the lien to buy us the time we require to finish auditing the project."... We need to know what does it mean to bond around our lien?

We are a subcontractor on a job that was completed in Phoenix, Arizona. We filed a pre-lien and the job finished back in September 2021. It is past 120 days. I understand we cannot file a lien at this time. However, what are our other options of recourse? Can we send them a notice to pay or some other notice to try and initiate payment?

ArizonaI hired a contractor to remodel the Kitchen and Master Bath of my house to start May 1, 2021. The name of the company is Birch Co. Brett Davis located in Oklahoma. I was recommended to them thru my neighbor. I did not do my due diligence and completely trusted them that they would be remodeling my "dreamhome". Thru out the project I was living in the housing and having to oversee the project. Too many mistakes were being made and me having to call the Company daily if not weekly complaining. The last draw was when the flooring was being put down, I called them that morning to let them know not to do anything in the Guest bathroom, I even put a note on the Bathroom door and on the worksheet. I came home that night to the only working toilet in the house in my bathtub. Because I refused to pay them the last Invoice they put a lien on my House. Now I don't have a Master Bath not do I have a Kitchen. I have interviewed several other contractors and they all say that it will take at least another $100,000 to put my house back together.

CaliforniaWe finished a job, & the customer is refusing to pay, what should we do? I sent out a lien.
WashingtonWe are a material supplier on a louisiana state project. We supply directly to the general contractor on the project. Do we have to wait to file a lien until the whole project's Substantial Date of Completion is up or can we file a lien when OUR portion of the material supplies provided are complete?
