We had projects with the same client, but 4 different LLC's.
They are not paying.
We completed 2 large projects.
1 had just some finishing to do, they agreed to let another finish up.
and the last one went sour. They sent a stop notice to us, really because the owner and the Project manager/owner couldn't get along. But then hired our main subcontractor, who was running the job for us.
Really just need some good sound advice.
How can I just get paid with out being sued? They won't even negotiate with us.

California20days preliminary notice field , lien recorded, but still did not get any answer from the project. As I know I am not the only one lien holder . However, our client has refused to pay the final balance that is now past due for the services that we already completed for her home. We then filed a mechanics lien on the property. We are now ready to file a notice to foreclosure lien document since we still haven't received payment. However, we were just informed that a notice to lien document was required first in NC. Should we still proceed with filing the notice to forclosure lien document?
