CaliforniaI am doing some part-time administrative work for a friend who has an owner/operator pressure washing business located in NC in its first year of business. Recently, my friend has expressed interest in expanding his operations to FL so that he can eventually live and work between both states. He is currently licensed and insured in NC. Is he able to obtain some kind of reciprocity for his current licensure or will he be required to start from square one in FL?

I am starting a remodeling and maintenance business in Michigan. I am currently working on my builders license and have a website. My question is, are there things that I can't advertise on my website until I have a builders license? Or say things like replacing a toilet, unless I have or employ a licensed plumber?

MichiganMy wife wants to be in a business of advising clients on kitchen and bathroom and other California residence renovations in terms of design and then furnishings to order and manufacturers or craftspeople to prepare the custom made furnishings and appliances (counter tops, stoves, toilets, baths, etc. My wife will not be doing any of the physical work of creating the custom furnishings or appliances, but will order these with her recommended specifications. Does she need a license from the California State Contractors License Board? In the "C" class I can't see any listing of her type of work as needing a license.
