We sent an intent to lien back in July 2021, then a mechanics lien in August 2021 but the customer made a large payment so we cancelled the mechanics lien. Well again he stopped making payments and we are wondering if we will need to restart the process again from the notice of intent or if we can go right for the mechanics lien?
WashingtonWe are a supplier and have filed a preliminary notice on a project that was just started. We were notified by the owner that the GC and our customer has closed their doors. The owner is willing to pay for all of the material but none of the tools that were purchased on the project. I just want to make sure that they are not responsible for the tools.

WashingtonWe're in WA state and we're approaching 90 days for our January invoice that still hasn't been paid but we're still on the job. At what point do you consider a notice of intent to lien? And can we even? Our preliminary was sent out 13 days late.
WashingtonWe're an electrical contractor that will be called out a lot of times before we get a contract to do temp power on jobs under a T&M agreement which then usually ends up just going in as a change order under our contract. Once we do end up getting the full contract on the jobs, it's too late to do a preliminary notice. Are we supposed to do a preliminary notice before we get the contract? Or just put the first day worked as the first day on the job after we got the contract?

He stated that there was a lien on our home because the plumber who did the work on our home did not pay his supplier. I was told by the owner of the company that he was going to take care of the outstanding debt and we do not have anything to worry about. WashingtonI was a general contractor working on a house remodel. We previous did "Phase 1 " and "Phase 2" was the kitchen remodel...well basically the whole house. During this time the homeowner added a significant amount of work and due to her paying close to what was originally requested for completion minus the additional stuff I lost track of having her sign the documents. She was also displaced from her home for a period of time which made it difficult to sit down and explain the charges she accrued. Also my wife gave birth to twins at the start of the project and that was also a reason for the documents not being signed. I have emails from Ms. Nevins for us to start and acknowledgement of the additional work she wanted and also needed added in order for construction to continue and for MILROK Construction to guarantee is craftsmanship. She began to get very hostile and threatening once she was made aware of the additional amount needed in order to complete her Phase. Due to her threatening behavior I was forced due to safety concerns to walk away from the project and protect my assets. She currently owes close to $58, 000 dollars. This is due to her using the majority of the money on the additional items and overages from the accepted proposal to begin. I sent her a demand letter and was wondering if I was able to file a construction lien to recoup the money she owes me and the government.
Washingtonim a waterproofing subcontractor that works on condominium projects. i am on one project that was contracted at about $150k and im still owed $80k to make things even better the General contractor just filed chapter 13. is there a way to lean the HOA property like the clubhouse or do i have to lien 40 owners $2k each? we finished the project about 70 day.
