Inlive in washington state. half way through a job the home owner now refuses to allow us access to the job and is not letting me get my tools that had been left on the jobsight. he clearly have breached the contract so what do i do now
WashingtonI'm a subcontractor working on a job that includes 100 townhomes in 10 buildings but the work was agreed on in one contract. The job is in Washington. Do I need to send a Notice of Right to Claim lien for each townhome or will one for the entire project ensure that I am protected?
WashingtonI am a subcontractor on a Public Works Project. I have been having troubles getting paid. I contacted the Owner and they said a P&P bond was not required for this project. This is a local power company in Oregon State. How often does this happen? I never seen a project like this without a bond requirment.

Washington I am subcontractor, filed a mechanics lien within 90 days but unfortunately the address I had for Grantor was wrong. If I attempt to amend the original lien and refile, my rights might be "at risk" to collect the money. What is the best way to approach this issue?

WashingtonI was recently gifted a vehicle from an ex boyfriend. I'm currently waiting on the title. When my ex boyfriend owned the car, he got financing for a tune up because he wanted to pay it off in installments. Some of the 400 dollar debt remains unpaid and the work was done on the car in July 2021. What will be the outcome of this?
WashingtonI just received a lien against my property for services provided by my landscaping company - they built a patio for me in mid-September. I paid my landscaper in full when the work was performed. The claimant is the pavingstone provider. The landscaper is the “person indebted”. In addition, the date “contributions became due” was three months before the work was even performed at my house. Can I be held legally liable for this if my landscaper did not pay the pavingstone company, even though I paid in full? What is my recourse here?

Washingtonan unlicensed handyman that doesn’t even have a business license was hired to paint a home, and walked off the job before finishing. He is now demanding payment for the job or he is threatening to file a lien against the property. He is not licensed for business nor is he licensed specialty contractor. Can he still file a lien on an unfinished job? There was no written contract, just an email stating that he would get $1000 down payment with the remainder paid once completed.

WashingtonSeller decided not to do repairs last minute and did escrow holdback. Buyer could not find contractor in time of closing and was instructed to give the name of someone they trusted instead in order to close on time. Buyer coordinated all bids, permitting, etc. and trusted person was supposed to cash the escrow check and write out personal checks to pay contractors. But this person (who originally agreed to do this) is now refusing to cash the check stating that they fear they could face tax liabilities (even though they will not be keeping any of the money) or possibly other legal consequences for doing so (such as acting as a general contractor without the credentials). Is it true this person would be taxed or face other legal consequences for doing this? Can Buyer go back to Title company and get check rewritten with contractor's name now that he has one? Amount $13k, WA State.
WashingtonI'm a homeowner whose kitchen remodel was going pretty well until a subcontractor messed up, our project manager approved incorrect cabinet installation, and our oven cannot be installed correctly.
I've raised all the concerns with our contractor, but she has stopped responding to texts and emails. We have a standard contract that requires homeowner approval to complete the project, but we've already made our last payment. We have no leverage at this point except possibly legal.
