I hired a handyman who fixed drywall after a flood now the fixed drywall has a crack should the Handiman fix it again for no charge. He did not give me any warranty I just paid him by the hr for work he did. Is there any implied warranted.

VirginiaWe are a contractor, we were hired to do mitigation work for water damage and mold damage asbestos removal, and reconstruction in a residential home. We have been working with insurance and settled for all mitigation work. The client wants to keep the money per our estimates and has fired us for the portion of the repairs although the contract was signed in January. We are seeking to collect for all work completed to date which is asbestos and mold (water is already paid) the adjuster just released the remaining funds.

Hi, I installed 10k ft of gutters in Fort Lee defense suply center in Richmond Virginia. Finished few days ago. The scope of work wasnt work that good and we made few changues with the goverment ingenier who was ther but nothing was in paper, just words. At the moment we decide to do few things diferent from the scope of work there where four peoples, the goverment ingenier, quality control person from the company subcontracted me and the superintendent of the job. The guy from goverment ask to the gutter look straight, i told to do that gutters will acumulate water in some points, he say is ok. Now others ingeniers from the goverment want the gutters slope in order that all water get drain. My question: If we go to court and put a case we have a chance to winn? Any change was on paper (changue order) but there where three witness when the goverment guy ask for the gutters look straigh. Thanks 🙏
VirginiaI used Levelset to record a lien on our behalf (record no. BK 10638 PG 0588 - Instrument #230002945) in February of 2022. We have since billed for work not recognized at the time the lien was recorded. Can we amend the lien by increasing it for the additional amount billed?
VirginiaI work like subcontractor in this project, supply windows and doors. In the terms and the payment I should receive final. 25% after delivery. The GC asked me can I start installation because he got some issue with owner, so it’s really help him to collect the payments. Fortunately, it’s not happen. He pay me from the window door portion only 10,000. From 39,000. I just try to show him good faith, and almost finalize installation, that not include our original contract for windows doors. Date of the delivery for windows doors. 2/15 /2023. Last day for installation. 03/26/2023. Please let me know.
VirginiaWe completed a project in April 2022. We have been trying to collect retention for quite some time. They finally released 5% in December 2022. We have been trying to collect the final 5% and they keep having us rebill every month because "they were not able to process with the owner".

Also, when i put in that i completed the job on March 26th, 2023, it comes up that i missed the deadline for the VA 15day rule? How does this apply or does it apply since the job itself was completed in one day?
