I have a cleaning company. I was hired by the property manager at an Ohio apartment complex as a vendor. I do know this hire was approved by someone higher because they kept sending my insurance paperwork back. I cleaned apartments before new tenants moved in, hallways, laundry rooms, clubhouse and office. Some garbage was probably removed from all of the above. It has been over 90 days since the invoices were originally submitted. They owe me over $3000. Can I place a lien against the property complex?
OhioHello I need to find out I'm needing to file a mechanic lien in Ohio .I wasnt hired by owner but thru a contractor owner hire so how do I file the document I filled out hasn't been filed yet because it reads I was in agreement with home owner and it is a verbal contract with txt messages n invoices to prove I worked thru this contractor and I o I Ky have 3 days left I believe I had 60 days not sure if u can look in to that also thank u.

OhioI have a house in Erie County Ohio that a contractor has placed a Mechanics Lien on. We just had depositions and the contractor admitted on the record, that he did not give me credit for all payments made to him and that he charged me for things he shouldn't have. Therefore, the amount of the Mechanics Lien that was filed is incorrect.
Am I able to have this lien removed since it is NOT accurate ?

OhioWe are a GC who hired a subcontractor to do several job sites of a large project for us. During the course of the project, they in turn hired several services (hydro excavation, concrete pouring, etc). Now that the project is over and our subcontractor has been paid all funds due to them, it has come to our attention that they stiffed one of the services they hired (hyrdo excavator) for about $5,500. Our client is getting very upset, the service provider is coming at us, and the subcontractor has already been paid for these job sites, and will not return phone calls, emails, or text messages.
My question is this - does this service provider have a any legal standing to come after us or our client for these funds, since they were not a material supplier of any kind? These jobs were performed over 120 days ago.
OhioIf we release a lien based on the assumption of payment, may we re-file the lien if they fall through on their promise to pay regardless of whether or not any additional material/services were supplied to the project? This is also assuming we're still within the initial deadline from "last delivered."

OhioI performed work on an Ohio project, but went unpaid. I ended up having to file a lien since the deadline was coming up. The owner still refuses to talk to me, and they won't accept service for the Notice of Lien I mailed to them.
How can I serve notice of this lien filing if they won't cooperate? Can I post the notice directly to the property?

Ohio I need some help with a client that owes me money. I am a very small business and I have a client that has defaulted on their invoices and payments and now they are selling the commercial property. I service two separate properties here in Columbus and the owners of both properties are in Michigan. They own multiple apartment complexes in several states. They are selling this one as I believe they feel if was a bad investment. They paid me once... But have $13,000 or so in unpaid invoices between the two properties.
