This is my first experience with level set
NevadaI missed my “notice to file a lien”! We have not been paid (Client says they have not been paid by the general/owner).
What can I do?
NevadaWe have a contractor who will not send payment until I send an unconditional. I have explained that we will not do that as it waives our rights, but they said since they sent a picture of the check they plan on sending that it doesn't matter. I feel like it still does but at this point we are at a stale mate. They won't send without an unconditional and we will not send it without payment.
NevadaWe completed a project on the strip in Las Vegas NV. The corporate headquarters for our client is in NJ. They are asking us to sign a NJ Lien Law form to get the first partial payment.
We told them we are bound by NV lien laws and could not sign the NJ form.
They have come back and said they do it all the time within NV and " everyone" signs the NJ form
What is the correct answer?

NevadaWe are a drywall, paint and plastering company looking to take on jobs in the las vegas area (specifically Edmond town, paradise, henderson, Saraha and Nellis). What do we need to be able to perform work in these cities?
NevadaAfter we have completed work, what is the timetable for filing a lien in NV? I know it is built into the LevelSet system, but we want the details so we understand.
NevadaWork is completed but nothing was agreed to, in writing, by both parties for upgrades and cost. Even the original contract wasn't signed by contractor.
NevadaCan a contractor file a mechanics lien against a personal residence if none of the changes to the contract was put in writing or price discussed? Job is completed but when receiving the final and only billing, we did not agree to the charges for upgrades. We are willing to negotiate with the contractor but he is not responding to a settlement.

NevadaI've been dealing with a company since March 2020 for shoddy window replacements. They never finished the install the first time and didn't get back to us for months. Eventually they agreed to replace everything. When they came back to our house, they did not have the right windows for the first two. The crew said they would contact corporate to come up with a plan. A month later we are told that they did their end of the bargain. We promptly asked them to accept our deposit so we can go with another company since their has been zero ownership of the issues.
The company gets back to us a month later sending us a legal letter to collect payment and threatening us with a lein.
They did not reinstall the windows because they did not have the right windows to install.
How easy it for them to get a lein, considering we've paid them a third of what is due and they were supposed to redo everything. The contractual amount due was for a job, not an hourly rate.
NevadaHi, I have a question, I'm a mechanic, I have done some work on 2 automobiles, about 5800 for both time and labor plus parts. I live in Las Vegas and I can not get a hold of anyone, THese cars have been sitting here for about 11 days now and no one has answered the phone, I have knocked on doors, it's like they moved away. Can I file a mechanics lien on the 2 cars that are in my possession.?

NevadaI'm a subcontractor on a job that is completed, however the demo work for this project was done on a PO prior to the actual contract being executed. I am still within 90 days of being on the job but the demo invoice is 142 days out. Do I still have lien rights?
NevadaNevada water GID filed a lien on property that I rent.I have never had water service, nor does the owner or myself owe them any money.I am responsible for paying all utilities.The lien was filed the next month after I rented the property. I sent a letter asking to establish an account in my name, offered to pay a deposit, they still refused service until I pay their lien of 900 $. They are charging me every month for not having water plus interest along with a $400 + administrative fee to file a $32 paper. I have lived here for over 5 years and have had to have water ported in to the property, which is created an extreme hardship for me as I am 65 and disabled. I have never owed them any money, neither does the owner and I have never had water service since I moved in. Now they send a bill for $3,800 and are threatening me with court. I feel this lean is fraudulent because I owed no money or had service to owe them money.
Nevadaif I am the sub on a public right of way job, who do I send the notice of right to lien to? We are an asphalt company an most work is done on public streets or on streets in subdivions. Do we send out right to lien notices to all owners in the subdivion or just the gc?
NevadaWe just want to know what has been the disciplines cause we do not have this with in our process currently,
