I requested additional work to be done with a construction company, which is a framed blown out wall to put an electric fireplace. They produced a change order, and said they needed to build extra support, I then sent them a check for the amount of the change order, it was basically an add on, and was not in the original loan from the bank. However, they never revised the engineered specs/plans, when originally sent to them, I sent a sample of the dimensions of what is to be done, they never drew up professional plans. I then told them I wanted to cancel the additional work, cause it looked like it was not going to be professionally done. I asked for my money back, they told me I had to wait till the interest only loan was closed. This is not part of the loan, I gave them cash to do a change order.
