I say that the contractor can sign the NOC as the owners agent, yet I have colleagues that say no! As a GC myself I have signed many NOCs as the owners agent, but I have some jackass at my office that says no you can not!?!?

FloridaI was hired and have a signed agreement as a subcontractor by a restoration company that holds a GC license. The home was damaged in a fire and the company was hired to complete the entire restoration to the home. They have completed the work except for the covered screen lanai that I was hired to build. They have an NOC and their permit has not been closed out yet. The homeowner has refused to sign a new NOC for the screen enclosure portion of the job. I’m not sure if I should proceed to build the job or not. Also should I send a NTO? I would greatly appreciate some guidance. Thanks!

FloridaI just got a call from the "owner" associated with this project and it is incorrect. JKC owns a daycare stand alone building. She said that there is a vacant lot next to her but that the address removes the "Crossing" in the address, this could possibly be the issue? I know that the GC and Sub are correct. What can be done to find the correct owner and send them the notice? Thank you for your help!

She is the Trustee of one Trust and me, my sister and her are Co-Trustees of the other Trust, but with a requirement of a majority vote of trustees to act. My step-mom signed a Notice of Commencement without consulting us and did so on behalf of both Trusts. Is that illegal?

We initially agreed to get our new roof done with a contractor for our Florida home but one day later, found out about so many negative reviews on Google. We changed our minds and tried to pull from agreement. But now they're saying because they already filed NOC with our name, we have to go through with this or we will get charged. How much would have coated them when they file or withdraw NOC for our roofing project? Thanks
