I filed a claim against a bond company for landscaping that was done incorrectly. We called them on several occasions with a response that they would get back to me or no response at all.
The principal responded that he didn’t do anything wrong. I responded to the Bond company with estimates and pictures of everything wrong. The bond company is now saying that I need to let the company come out to try and repair. I had already advised that I did not want them to come back to my house. Do I have to let them come back in order to receive a refund from the bond?

Can I "extend" the use of my license to our new company or would I need to completely change the license to the new company? Ideally, I would like to operate both. Thank you!
Californiacompleted a job in 2018 of a multi unit apartment complex.
Completed the 90 day turn over period and also did a walk with the incoming grounds keeper.
Any issues that arose during that period were taken care of.
After that the owner found water in the bottom of the elevator pit and started a lawsuit.
The owner and gc are in dispute over water leaking into the building thus a lawsuit started, my retention has been held up for years- once this comes to settle and they release retention do they put a % on for each month that it was late?
On my proposal it states 1.9% per month but i also signed the msa for the gc.
CaliforniaI worked in 2017 as an independent contractor for a company that built and coordinated the installation of high-end retail window displays. We had worked together for years but payments started taking longer and then became partial payments used to keep the next job going. Eventually the payments stopped. I've been able to get a few payments over the years, however I am stilled owed close to $10,000. Do I still have any legal rights in this instance or have I simply waited and been stringed along for to long? The particular store for this time period was Hugo Boss. I worked in California and the company hired me from New York rather than sending their own employees across the country.

Californiabased on what our scout found one of the jobs we just delivered equipment to is actually a state/county type. does the prelim still protect our company in case the GC doesn't pay? this GC has been hard to collect from in the past. please see what the scout found below. they refuse to provide a surety bond.

CaliforniaHow many days can I extend a notice to lien?
CaliforniaMy contractor did a very poor work,when we asked him to redo,he refused it.I asked him stop the work first ,and let me find the 3rd party to evaluate his work,he was very mad ,and started to do and say something nasty. There are there contractor came in and evaluate his work,they all told me it have to redo,can't fix.And told me my contractor violate a lot building rules. My contractor keep on saying his work is almost done, I can't stop his work, I owe him,he attacked my personality and my occupation,this morning(04/16/21)we realized he might took my paints(We asked him to buy for us,but we already paid him,I texted him,he still said something nasty,but just didn't answer the question.) I need to consult some questions: 1.Is his statement true? 2.I plan to fire him,what should I do so that I won't violate the law. 3.Is it worthy to set a trial like my case. I don't if you are familiar with the construction law.And has any experience to help homeowner to deal issues with bad contractor.If so,please call me.

CaliforniaIt's a pretty overwhelming and long story but I have a truck that was traded to me straight across for my last truck about 3 months ago and it needed a few things but ran good. Eventually I fixed the truck and used it for errands and such, but it started to have issues. Ultimately it was needing a transmission. A "friend" knew someone else they trusted and he said it would be done by the person for$500. That would be our first mistake. After the truck is not working for about a month or so I decided to let the shop do the work and it was picked up from my house via tow truck and brought to the shop for a rebuild of my transmission. Long story relatively short I explain to the shop that I don't have a lot of money but really need my vehicle. They assured me that I can make payments for the service and take it once it was completely done. It's been 7 weeks since I paid$500 to get it towed and start the work. The truck is done since a week ago and now I am told that the owner is going to put a lien on it. I've never been in a situation like this one and don't know what my rights and responsibilities are. Mind you there's NO DOCUMENTATION FOR THE TRUCK THAT I HAVE SIGNED! The only thing I have to show is my receipt for the $500 and verbal agreements
CaliforniaI have been issued an unconditional release on final payment for construction work. In this case the release I received has three property addresses. The contract had done work on all three properties, but sent only one release showing all three property addresses. Is this a valid release if it lists 3 different properties?

CaliforniaContractor did a horrible job on my back yard remodel. They did not even complete all tasks. The contract was $90k. We owe them $8700 more & do not want to pay it. They can put a lien on the property that can be paid off when I sell the property or they can simply take me to small claims court.
CaliforniaI’m a sub contractor here in California and it’s been over 10 days and not heard from general to get pay. So now what is my next step ?
