Why am I served a Civil Action Hearing from the home owner after getting denied the Lien?

Pennsylvania

I'm a painting sub-contractor that was painting a new house for a building contractor. The contractor didn't pay a balance of $13,000 due. I used the steps Levelset defined to file for a lien on the property. After a hearing, the court sided for the property owner and the lien was terminated. Now I get a Civil Action Hearing Notice...$12,000.00 The homeowners complaint is "Defendant engaged in the wrongful use of civil proceedings in violation of 42 P. C.S.A. section 8351 by pursuing a Mechanic's Lien Claim against them in a grossly negligent manner and/or without probable cause."

Mr. Reilley,

In order to provide you with some guidance, I would need to know a bit more about why the Court sided with the homeowner in the lien dispute and the reason why the homeowner is now seeking to sue you separately. Please reach out and send me copies of the documents if youy would like to discuss.

Thanks,
