Which states require Substantial Work completion to file Lien ?

Ohio

Of the following States: GA, FL, NC, OH, TX, WI, AZ, OK, CO Which states allow filling lien after a substantial work completion is reached ? Contracts has multiple subcontractors, if we completed our work we wait on retainage to be paid, which is typically after the project as a whole is completed. We don't want to lose our lien right, yet we want to wait until the project is complete. Which states allow filling lien after a substantial work completion is reached ?

In Ohio, a mechanic's lien must be recorded within 75 days of the contractor's last date of work on the project. Thus, the excavation contractor (or any other contractor whose work may be done well in advance of the substantial completion date) may have to file a lien before the project is complete.
