When do I need to modify my original preliminary notice?

Arizona

After filing the initial preliminary notice, when should you update or modify your notice? If at all? Example: in Arizona you are able to file for the contracted amount plus 30% to capture change orders or additional cost as the project progresses. If the project does in cure change orders, do you need to modify the preliminary notice to include the contracted amount + changes order amount + 30%?

If the amount of the contract increases by change order or otherwise to an amount more than 20% greater than the amount stated in the preliminary 20-day notice, an amended preliminary 20-day notice must be sent. Otherwise, the lien claim will be limited to the amount stated in the original notice, plus 20%.
