I’m a sub sub Contract who did the framing job on a property in Wisconsin. The general contractor doesn’t want to pay anymore. Taking 16K which hasn’t been paid. It’s the last payment. I sent a preliminary notice just recent along with a intent of Lien. The job is completely finished and the contractor has told the homeowners to simply block me because I have expressed my worry about not getting paid two weeks after job is done. The sub contractor has done the siding windows and doors and all his paying now is 3K of what’s left to be paid. What rights do I have to get paid for the work done, framing is very expensive and the homeowners have told me they had completely paid for it back in November. It’s January.
