Whay is the prevailing wages for a painter?

I have one forman and three painters on a Federal Job in Virginia, do the all get paid the same hourly rate & What is the rate?

Generally, different levels of employees will have different prevailing wage rates. As for what that rate is - those rates aren't really openly published. But, they can be obtained via a request to the National Prevailing Wage Center (NPWC) or through the Online Wage Library. Alternatively, you might be able to secure the project's prevailing wage rates by asking your customer, the GC, or even the public entity heading up the project. Matthew listed some great resources. I would only add that since you're distinguishing between the painters and foreman in your question, they probably have different responsibilities and the rates would likely be different. Good luck!
