What to do about a building I put on someone elses property, that said person is now getting foreclosed on

North CarolinaForeclosure

I built a building on my brothers property which includes his house. His house is going to be foreclosed on. I am in N.C. Can I put a lien or something on his house so when it sales, I get some kind of money for the building i built on his property. Or i have I just lost out, a lot of people warned me not to build it, but I had a business in it for decades, and I really didnt have a better choice at the time.He dosent owe me money on this building I built, so we could store and work on old cars in.It was a mutual agreement. My brother will not work now, and gave up on his house, and now a foreclosure, leaving me with nothing, I am in the process of selling everything now.It would be nice to recoup some of the money I have invested in his property. I dont think the bank he has even knows we built the building, It was my loan on the building and has long been paid off, no money is owed on it.What options do I have. Thank you.
