What should I do?

I just recently had my contract terminated without notice and without any chance to address any of the issues. I was not paid for any of the work I had performed over a months period. Their also slandering me on their website

Sorry about the issues. You should file a lien if this relates to services that are covered under Colorado's mechanics' lien statutes. You do not describe what services, labor, or materials you provided. This must follow the statutory procedures as to form and service to the letter. If they don't pay the amount stated in the lien (which is common for small projects), you can consider filing suit. Foreclosing on a lien, unless the amount at issue is very considerable, is usually cost prohibitive and complicated. As to the alleged slander, an attorney would have to review what was stated to determine if this is defamatory. If so, that attorney would draft and send a cease and desist and hopefully that will end it. Additionally, if actionable and assuming you could collect, you may be able to sue for damages.

You should contact an attorney about filing a mechanics lien or other remedies available to you. The mechanics lien statute has very strict timelines. Do not delay.
