What should contract signature lines be called?

We are adding a 2nd signature line to our contract for an additional person on the home's title/mortgage. Do you know what we would call both of the signature lines?

Without a bit more context or having an eye on the document, it's hard to say. If the second signer is signing in the same capacity as the first signer, then labeling them both the same might be appropriate. Or, simply indicating that they're the second signature might make sense too. Regardless, choosing the simplest title that's also as accurate as possible will usually be a good idea, and getting too cute with a document might even create more problems than would be solved. If you're particularly concerned about how the document will look, be labeled, etc. - it may be helpful to consult with a local attorney and see if they can take a quick look for you.

It sounds like you are trying to ensure all owners on a property sign your contract, which is a smart and forward-thinking idea (if you have to sue on the contract and only one spouse has signed, you would have a hard-time collecting against any judgment lien that resulted against only one title-holder of property owned jointly by married individuals). If that's the case, you don't have to particularly call out or label the second signature line anything in particular, other than "Owner", or "Co-Owner" if you are more comfortable with that. But in essence, you can have two signature lines that are each labelled "Owner", and if you do a mortgage/title search and see there are multiple owners on a property, you simply tell your clients that all owners must sign the contract, one per signature line.
