Your right to payment depends on the terms of the contract you and the client signed for the work, as well as the details of what the client is claiming isn't satisfactory. However, generally speaking, if the work was completed on schedule and there's no real basis to dispute the quality of the work or materials used, most contracts would entitle you to full payment after final completion. Happy to discuss further.

Your ability to get paid under the circumstances will depend on your contract, and the willingness of the project owner to be satisfied with your work. If your existing contract does not include a provision to address this issue, there may still be a way to resolve the dispute and get paid. And, for future projects, you might want to include language in your contract to help you avoid this concern. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you'd like to discuss your options.
