What is the cost?

CaliforniaPreliminary Notice

Hi, I would like to start pre lien jobs. What is the typical cost for a residential job? I am a sub working for a general who is hired by the property owner.

Sending preliminary notices should not be expensive. If it's something you undertake yourself, the cost is your time creating the documents and researching the identities of the people they need to be sent to + the postage required to send the notice to the required parties by the required methods. If you elect to use software, or other services the costs vary widely: from really not any more than it would cost to do it yourself, to $30 per notice or more. And, it gets even more expensive if you decide to use an attorney. You can learn more here; but I'll have somebody reach out to you to discuss making a policy of sending notices on all projects easy and affordable.
