I have a situation where I hired a company to build a pool, deck, outdoor kitchen, spa and fire pit. It has been 10 months since the dig and we have partial tile/coping and gunite and nothing else and company abandoned the project. We have paid them a little over $69K out of the $123K project and only about 20% of the work has been completed. I am now getting phone calls from the Excavation crew, tile/coping crew that they will put a lien on my house for non-payment when it was not for me to pay - it was the pool company ( they had my money). How can i recover my paid funds to finish my pool project and not have a lien on my property since it was not my fault the sub-contractors whom I do not have a contract with did not get paid? I am at a loss....
