What is our next step?

We are a Restoration Contractor who signed a contract directly with the home owner who's property is monitored by an IRA Trustee company. We Contracted the job in Feb. of 2019 and completed work in Oct. of 2019. We are owed $192,873.89 and we filed a notice to lien in May 2021. What is our next step to collect?

If you did not file a lien within 90 days of completing your work you do not have a right to a lien. You should consult with a lawyer about collecting this debt.

Prior to filing a law suit you should explore every avenue of collections by a certified commercial collection agency licensed and bonded to collect in FL. This can be collected on a contingency bases so you are not having to pay anything upfront and only pay a small percentage of what is actually collected. If the debt can not be collected by the agency you can always file suit after. Feel free to contact me for a free quote or referral to Commercial Collection Agencies of America. Best regards getting paid, Steve
