What is a hold harmless agreement

We are an asphalt maintenance company and we were hired by a construction company to do the asphalt work at a property and this construction company is asking us to provide a hold harmless agreement. Is this a form that I can fill out or is a letter that I just create on our letterhead?

When drafting, you should consider it a mini-contract/agreement. However, be cautious with such agreements.
