What if the general contractor claims to be unsatisfied with my service? Job is complete and I have furnished all materials and labor, and now he claims to not be satisfied

Hi, If he claims to not be satisfied with the work, he should be giving you an opportunity to fix what is wrong. If you still have time, send a pre-lien notice and get ready to take the matter above his head. The GC needs to be providing a specific and itemized list of the things that are wrong as part of your punch list so that you can correct those items and get paid. E. Hello, They need to provide you with a list of specifically what they do not like, ask for a list of what needs to be corrected, and then make the corrections and request payment. If they cannot provide you with a specific list, they may be trying to unreasonably delay payment, in which case you need to take steps to file a lien.
