What if a property is refinances with a mechanics lien against it?

Colorado

Hello, I filed a mechanics lien against a property I did a full home remodel on and they refused to pay me. What if the property owners refinances the property now with the lien against it?

Hello, Often title companies will require that the lien is paid or bonded. However, if that does not occur and the owner refinances, the lien remains. The lien relates to the affected property and that lien remains until it expires. Make sure to be very careful and diligent on lien timeframes as you have a limited amount of time to foreclose on the lien.
