Owner said he would give us back the money we spent on materials and he hasnt, he has not replaced hot water and there has been no hot water wince march 2020 now he sends his brother in to take over demanding 875 a month and different lease. To date we have four different leases with the first 3 being 500 a month for a year

Generally, mechanics liens are only available to those who have performed construction work but gone unpaid for that work. And, paying others for the work or materials won't necessarily give rise to lien rights. With that being said, if you've been improving your landlord's property, and if your landlord has been attempting to push a different lease on you, you may be entitled to some legal relief. And, consulting with a Florida real estate lawyer might provide some insight on the options available to you.
