So I have been dealing with a bad contractor the work is not done and it is mediocre quality. He has filed a lien for 935 dollars and we have already paid him 39,535. What do I need to file to have the lien declared invalid?

There is quite a bit of information on line for you. There are many variables to this question. Is there a contract? Are you working with a bank for this money? What constitutes mediocre work?
This is not my area of expertise, but I do suggest you 'google it' if you haven't already. And perhaps prepare for a legal battle. I'm so very sorry this is happening! I wish you the best!
