The cost to file a lawsuit to foreclose on your lien depends on the complexity of the claims you are asserting. Whether you should do it depends on lots of factors and you should consult a lawyer to determine what your best course of action is and what makes the most sense for you.

It’s almost always a good idea to file a lien to help you get paid on a project. Levelset can help prepare the lien for you or you can use an attorney to do it. You should do it right away especially if the house is in escrow. I’m happy to answer any questions you have about this.
