In some limited situations, contractors who are licensed in another state may be able to fast track their licensure in Florida. There, it's called licensure by endorsement. However, according to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation's website, licenses are rarely approved via endorsement. Ultimately, even when licensed in another state, most contractors will need to jump through the necessary hoops in orde to become licensed in Florida, like taking the appropriate exam, paying relevant fees, showing work experience, etc.
