I recently moved to a small town it’s one water well here and the guy that owns the company told me if I would run the pipe to the road he would hook me up within three hours after I got the pipe their so the next day I bought the materials rented a trencher and hired some help and in two days we ran 1800 ft of pipe this was sept 18 Dec 5 I still didn’t have any water at this time I had to hire a drilling service and drill my own well . The time I’m out the extra expense hauling water and Landry a membership fee of 100 bucks I paid him for a meter 600.00 dollars the materials was 1400.00 dollars the trencher was 2000,00 dollars and I paid my help 1200,00 dollars cash and no service was ever provided that he promised to provided the cost of a well was 8400.00 dollars what kind of lawyer do I need and what are my rights here

Ultimately, if there was a contract - even a verbal one - that was breached, then pursuing a breach of contract claim might be appropriate. So, hiring a good contract lawyer could help. As for what rights are available - this scenario is a bit outside of my wheelhouse. But, if amounts were paid on a contract and the other party failed to uphold their end of the bargain, then presumably you should at least be able to pursue the amounts paid to the other party. But, hiring your own lawyer will help to sort out the situation and what causes of action might be available.
