If a company caused damage to your property and has promised to repair it, it's a good idea to get that in writing. That way, they won't be able to come back later and claim that they're not responsible. With that in hand, if necessary, it will be easier to force payment via demand letter, lawsuit, etc. I hope that's somewhat helpful!
