Subcontractor having payment issues with a GC

CaliforniaChange OrdersLawsuitMechanics LienPrompt PaymentRetainage

I am an electrical subcontractor who is in a contract with a GC. We have many issues with the GC and they are not paying us or our change orders. I am also afraid they are not going to pay us our retainage. They are also starting to get anther Electrical Contractor to some other change orders which is causing a conflict. Need a lawyer to review my contract, tell me what my rights are, and send the GC an email letting them know what our potential actions will be.

Make sure that your change orders are properly documented. If you sent preliminary notice, you may consider recording a lien to apply pressure. I can review your contract and develop a strategy for you. You can reach me at ryan@huntortmann.com or on my cell phone (805)377-6089.
