In Louisiana, is it legal to back charge a subcontractor for work the subcontractor was already paid for?

Back charging after payment has been made certainly isn't ideal. With that being said, if the back charge is legitimate, then I don't see why back charging after payment is made would be illegal. Though, it's definitely impractical. Just like any other back charge, a subcontractor is entitled to dispute the charge their customer makes.

Hello. We have a situation whereas a general contractor is sending us a backcharge for for done by a subcontractor of ours. The general contractor gave no notice of the issue, no notification of the errors that our contractor could have handled. What state guidlines gives us or entitlement to disput their claim?
