I have a question. If I filed a mechanic lien do I have to send a copy to the lien holder? I know to send one to the property owner

You're right that Texas property owners must receive notice of a filed mechanics lien claim - but a prime contractor must also be given notice of the filing within 5 business days of filing the lien claim. Those are the only required recipients according to Texas law, but it may also be helpful to send notice of the filed lien claim to others who have some sort of interest in the property.
