second extension of a lien via court order - how long is the lien good for and is the extension worth the money?

New York

Thank you for your answer! The lien company told me this second extension needs to be administered trough a court order. This justifies higher cost of the extension ($1250). Does that change anything? Can this mean the lien is somehow more permanent? If the landlord + employer didn't respond to the first extension, does it make sense to extend it again with this higher price tag?

The extension would be good for another year. Whether it is worth the $ depends on the amount of the lien. If the lien is for a few hundred dollars, its probably not worth it. If it is a lien for tens of thousands than it is probably worth the effort to get it extended.
