prove of construction experience

FloridaLicenses

Hello, I currently work in construction but through an employment agency that pays me for W-4. Could this prove my experience? Or should it just be like W-2 directly with the general contractor? How does the construction board prove the experience in the application of a license? Thanks

Admittedly, I'm no expert on the ins and outs of obtaining a Florida contractor's license. But, it appears that the work verification portion of the Florida contractor's license application process requires a written statement of your experience and might not require W-2's, at least initially. And, if W-2's are required, presumably, a W-4 might be sufficient in its place. However, for ultimate clarity, it'd be wise to seek out a professional who knows the Florida licensing process inside and out - such as Licenses, Etc. For more Florida license talk, this discussion on ContractorTalk.com may be helpful, too.
