PRIVATE Works Bond

CaliforniaPreliminary Notice

Hello! We are a subcontractor on a PRIVATE job in California. There is a Bond. Do I need the bond number for the Preliminary Notice? The notice indicates that I can include the Bond number IF I have it. Does this mean the notice is valid with ONLY the name of the surety company?

A preliminary notice does not have to include the bond notice. However, you should ask your general contractor to provide you with the payment bond information.

No, you don’t need to put the bond number on the preliminary notice. It’s not required. I’m happy to answer any questions you have about this.
