Consult an attorney to ensure you preserved lien and/or bond rights.  You may also want to consult an attorney to review your contract so you are aware of your rights and can help you maximize payment collection for work you performed.

I suggest you get a meeting with the General Contractor right away and find out (1) if they have been paid already for the time period you are expecting, (2) If there is something you did incorrectly on the paperwork submission that is holding up payment, (3) If there is something being disputed with regards to the performance on the project, and (4) if you are missing a form or other document of verification that is needed (certified payroll report, if applicable or Certificate of Insurance might be two examples that come to mind). Bottom line is communicate with the GC and ask for a meeting so you can figure out exactly what is holding up the payment.  Once you know, then you can either fix it or make a decision on what to do next.  I would strongly suggest making sure you have protected you lien rights or if it is a public bonded project you can notify the bond. Either way, start with meeting the GC and talking directly to them to get to the bottom of it.
