FloridaCollectionsMechanics LienNotice of Intent to Lien

I have sent letter of intent and also had mechanics lien. No Response from contractor or home owner to pay. What should I do and how much time do I wait before next step?

You wrote, "I have sent letter of intent and also had mechanics lien." Does this mean that you have delivered a "notice to owner" and that you have filed the lien? If yes, then you can either sit back and wait to see whether you get paid or see a lawyer about filing suit to foreclose the lien. Your lien is valid for one year from the filing date, unless you are given a notice from the recording clerk that your lien is being contested and you have 60 days to file suit on it; or a "show cause" lawsuit is filed and served to you giving you 20 days to file suit on your lien. None of these time restrictions may be altered unless they fall on Sat. Sun. or legal holiday. Then you go to the next business day.

I don't want to wait a year. Could you recommend a lawyer in Tampa, Brandon or Valrico area in Florida. I think its just good to have and know a lawyer incase of situations like this.
