We are a subcontractor looking to get deposit from a GC for a project.They want us to use an AIA G702S form to request such deposit.

According to that article, the amount being requested should be listed on Line 8 after subtracting the amount on Line 7 from the amount on Line 6. It's also worth noting that your customer will likely let you know if you've messed something up on a pay app, plus you can always call them to ask how they'd prefer the app be formatted.
