Notice of Contract is it 100,000 or 25,000

LouisianaMechanics Lien

levelset says In Louisiana, anyone who contracts with the owner for more than $100,000 must file a Notice of Contract before the delivery of materials or labor to the project. an upset client whom we placed a lien on, directed us to websites that say "In order to secure lien rights, prior to beginning work, all general contractors must file a Notice of Contract, signed by the Owner, unless the general contractor's contract amount is less than $25,000.00. " I need to know who is correct and why there is a disparity. Is one outdated ? Is one taken out of context?

There was a relatively recent amendment. The old rule was $25,000. You are correct that the current amount is $100,000.00.
