Hello! We are a subcontractor that signed a contract a year ago. I sent out preliminary notices at that time. Due to unforeseen delays we are only now starting work. Do I need to send out new notices? The contract value has not changed. Thank you!
It is probably a good idea since if there was a 60 day break in work on the project, there could have been a "completion" under California law which would likely require a new preliminary notice. You can also include a separate letter or memo advising why you are re-serving this preliminary notice.
